Once you have run a report you can either:
PRINT - You can print to any printer attached to your system. A Print Preview is also available
-AND/OR-
EXPORT - You can export to:
- HTML (.html)
- Excel (.xls, .xlsx or .csv format)
- PowerPoint (See PowerPoint Exporting Set Up for more information on the set up required for this)
Below lists how to do each of these options once a report has been processed.
To Print out a report
- Click on the EXPORT button in the toolbar
- Select Print option
- This will bring up your normal windows Print dialog. Select your printer and set a number of other options as required.
- Click OK to Print

Click on the Print Preview option under Print if you wish to see a preview of how the printout will look before printing. |
To Export to HTML:
- Click on the EXPORT button in the toolbar
- Select Export as File >
- This will open a window with your export options. Select HTML (.html) option
- This will bring up a Save As dialog. Name your export and select the location you would like to save the HTML export to.
- Click Save

If you want your HTML export to open once saved, make sure your Export>Advanced Options has the Open 'File' after Saving option selected. |
Export to Microsoft Excel (.xls, .xlsx or .csv)
To Export to Microsoft Excel either as .xls (97-2003) or .xlsx (2007) or .csv format:
- Click on the EXPORT button in the toolbar
- Select Export as File >
- This will open a window with your export options. Select the Excel file type required - either Excel 97-2003 (.xls) - OR - Excel 2007 (.xlsx) -OR- Excel CSV (.csv)
- This will bring up a Save As dialog. Name your export and select the location you would like to save the Excel export to.
- Click Save

Export to Microsoft PowerPoint
This works slightly differently to the other Exports.
FIRST - you must have already set up a PowerPoint slide that contains the framework for the information that you want to export out. For more information on this please see PowerPoint Exporting Set up.
Once the PowePoint presentation is ready & your report is processed, to export to PowerPoint:
- Click on the EXPORT button in the toolbar
- Select Export as File >
- This will open a window with your export options. Select PowerPoint (.ppt/.pptx) option
- The following dialog will appear. Select your PowerPoint presentation from it's saved location by clicking on the
button. This will open a normal Windows Open dialog. Find your PowerPoint presentation and select Open.
- From the drop down at Update Slide: - select the Slide to update.
- If your Slide has more than one named chart - from the drop down at Update Chart select the chart to update. (If the charts are not named you will be unable to do so. See PowerPoint Exporting Set up for more information)
- Click OK and the information will export to that slide/chart.

NOTE: Multiple Layout Export option now available from Version 4.0.0.0 onwards. If you have more than one layout in your report, (indicated by multiple layout tabs) - you will be asked when exporting or printing if you want to export all layouts or the active layout (i.e. the layout currently on screen) To export multiple layouts - click on All Layouts button To export the layout on screen - click Active Layout button. |
