The Period tab has a sub menu area that allows you to filter what is displayed in the Period tab. The sub menu items appear in the orange bar at the top of the period tab.
The Period Sub menu contains:
- Year Start - indicates what month of the year is considered the start of the year. Defaults to January but can be changed to any month of the year.
- Week Start - indicates what day of the week is considered the start of the week. Defaults to either Sunday or Monday depending on the country you are in to line up with the television start of week for that country.
- Month Type - indicates if it is a calendar month start or week commencing month start. (This is country dependent - most countries will only see Calender month start). This will change the alternating grey and white backgrounds in the grid to display what dates fall into a week commencing month or a calender month.
- Period Type - allows you to swap between the Actual period and the Relative period areas of the period database.
- Day Mask - indicates which days of the week you are displaying and which days you are masking (hiding). By default all days are displayed.
For most of the above options you can only select one item at a time - thus a black dot will appear beside the item in the list you have selected.

The exception to this is Day Mask because you can select multiple days to display or hide - thus a black cross will appear beside the days you have selected to display and unchecked days indicate those you are masking or hiding. In the sub menu bar itself - any hidden day will appear as an underscore in the days listed
