At report time there are a two ways to display your linked selection:

  1. You can choose to show the linked selection as it was created (which is the default). In this case you just drag it into the Selected Pane and in the report layout all the levels/items within the linked selection will show as created

    - OR -
  2. if you would prefer a one line result - once it is dragged into the Selected Pane - right click on the linked selection and uncheck "Show Detail". In the report layout only the name of the selection will appear giving you a one line result.
TIP: Once the linked selection is in the Selected Pane - if you decide you would prefer to make a copy of the items in it so you can make changes - right click on the linked selection and select Unlink and Create Copy.

This will display the items as it was created allowing you to make changes to the selection. As you have unlinked the selection, and are not changing the original, this means these changes will apply only to this selection.
