AQX Selection Tabs > Dictionary Tab > Dictionary Selection > Right Click Options

Glossary Item Box

Depending on where you right click in the Dictionary &/or Media tab - you will have a different list of options available to you. These are outlined below.

  1. Right click on an item in the Selection window
  2. Right click in the white space of the Selection window
  3. Right click on an item in the Selected pane
  4. Right click in the white space of the Selected pane

NOTE: At Period Tab only the 3rd & 4th Right click options are available.

 

1. Right click on an item in the Selection window options

Select All - will select all items listed in the window

Select None - will de-select all items already selected

Select All Unused Items - will select all items not already selected

Reverse Selection - will reverse the current selection in that window by selecting everything else in the list but the item/s originally selected.

Properties - will show the database relationships for that item

Find Item in Selection - will highlight the item right clicked on in the Selected Pane.

Search for Item in Groups - will open up another window and allow you to search which groups the item right clicked on is included in.

Add to Highlights - if you want to add the item right clicked on to the highlight area. See Highlights for more information 

 

2. Right click in the white space of the Selection window options

Select All - will select all items listed in the window

Select None - will de-select all items already selected

Select All Unused Items - will select all items not already selected

Reverse Selection - will reverse the current selection in that window by selecting everything else in the list but the item/s originally selected.

 

3. Right click on an item in the Selected pane options

Add Sub Folder - will create a folder in the selected pane. See Creating Groups in Dictionary selections for more information.

Expand All - will expand all levels below the item selected.

Collapse All - will collapse all levels below the item selected.

Rename - will allow you to rename folders.

Additional Grouping Orders - allows you to reorder the selection. See Additional Grouping Orders for more information.

Show Duplicate items - will search through the selection and show you any item shown more than once. Click here for more information.

Sort Items - will sort the items into alphabetical order

Set Brand Update Date - Allows you to mark the selection as being updated. Marks it with the first day of the next database period. This means that in future you can use the New Items Date Type in Settings of Current File Date to define when to check for new items from.

Display File Name - will display the file name shown above the selected pane in your results

Delete - will delete the items selected

Properties - will show the full database hierarchy for the item selected

Add to Highlights - will move the item into the Highlights - Add Here selection at the bottom of the Selected pane. The item will then appear highlighted in your report. See Highlights for more information

Collapse/Expand Selection - will first Collapse all the hierarchy above the item selected to show just that level in the selection and at report time. Once selected - you can then right click again and select Expand Selection to bring hierarchy back.

Strip hierarchy - will permanently remove all the hierarchy above the selection. A warning message will come up. Hit Yes or No as required.

4. Right click in the white space of the Selected pane options

Filter Item Lists - A way to search for All or New items within a specified level of the database for that selection. For example a quick way to search for all new products in the same category. These items will be displayed in the selection window in the middle ready for new items to be added to the current selection.
