How to select items at Filter

  1. Select which filter you would like to use. The filters are listed as buttons in the grey hierarchy bar but in this case they are NOT a hierarchy - just a list of the types of filters. Click on the button required - it will be highlighted orange
  2. Make a selection for that filter. Some filters use a Check Box and others use a Range/Number selection. These are outlined below.

 

Mode of Selection at Filter:

The mode of selection within Filter depends on the field you are looking at for that country as each country is different. But the mode of selection in general is either a:

Show1. Check Box mode of selection

The Check box mode of selection is where all the different items that make up that field will be listed and you check on a box beside an item to select it.

To make a selection - check on or off the box beside the item required.

The search box at the top will narrow down the items to be shown in the list by using either the Starts With or Contains selection. See How to Search for more information.

 

In this example using Colour - 4 colour ads have been selected. This means only ads that used 4 colour will be included in the results

Show2. Range/Number mode of selection

The Range/Number mode of selection is usually used for selections with numerical values - and allows to the option to select a range using a From and To selection -OR- Select a specific number with a tolerance option.

Fields that contain items of numeric value will allow for a range to be selected or a specific number (with tolerances) to be selected.

The default option will be Range in the top box.

 

To make a selection using Range:

  1. Check on From and/Or To 
  2. then make a numerical selection in the box beside it
  3. click Add button

 

To make a selection using Number:

  1. Click on the down arrow beside Range & select [number]. The items shown in the box will change to include a tolerance line
  2. Click in the first box over [number] - it should clear it
  3. Type the value required
  4. If you need a tolerance - type in that information as well & select between that item and percentage in the drop down window at the end of the line. If not - leave as zero.

 

Examples:

Range example - below a range of ad durations has been selected. This range will ensure all ad durations of 30 seconds up to 60 seconds inclusive will be included in the results.

Number example - a specific number of 45 seconds with 0 seconds tolerance has been selected. This will ensure only ads of 45 seconds in duration will be included in the results.
